Description

Our preformed carriers offer 3 carrying positions: front, back and hip. They are not designed for an ergonomic carrying position facing the world. We prefer the hip carry which allows baby to look at the world when he is awake, but when he is tired, he can rest his head against the carrier.

Directions for Use

NEWBORN:

• Use the belt clips up to 15 lbs. (For babies over 15 lbs, use the clips under the arms).
• RANGE (ADJUSTABLE) - 8 to 45 lbs.
  
  • Seat width: Adjustable from 5 to 16 inches (12.7 to 40.6 cm)
  • Deck height: Adjustable from 11 to 19 inches (28 to 48.3 cm)
  • Belt width: 5 inches (13 cm)
  • Maximum belt length: 57 inches (145 cm)

Notes: The Gustine Evolution is a fully adjustable baby carrier. It allows you to change the height and width as your baby grows without the need for a booster seat.

BABY - 25 to 55 lbs :

• Seat width: 17 inches (43 cm)
• Height of the apron: 18 inches (45,7 cm)
• Belt width: 5 inches (13 cm)
• Maximum belt length: 57 inches (145 cm)

Notes: The Toddler size is designed for children who have reached a height where the top of the apron is at neck level. In general, the Toddler model is suitable for children 2 years old with a minimum pant size of 2T.

Toddler carriers have a pocket on the apron.

Care Instructions

The most important step before using your Gustine is to WASH it!

Although our fabric is pre-washed, the Gustine manufacturing process is not complete until the fiber has swollen to take up all the space in the carrier's fabric. Not washing your Gustine before its first use leaves empty spaces between the stitches, which weakens the weave and also increases the risk of the fibers shifting and premature wear.

SOAP

• Our natural and ecological Gustine soap made from Marseille soap is ideal for washing baby carriers.
• A mild soap, without optical brightener (bleaching agent), without softener.
• Baby soaps are not recommended.
• No powdered soap (powder residue can damage the fabric).
• Rinse the soap well if it is not a no-rinse soap.

WASHING

• Hand wash in cold water.
• Squeeze out well, especially the padding for preformed fabrics.

DRYING

• Remove as much water as possible from the padding.
• Hang to dry. Do not put in the dryer.
• Avoid direct heat sources and do not iron.

Our preformed baby carriers have passed several tests to guarantee their safety. All of our carriers are ATM F2237-16a certified. In addition, they have passed tests to certify the structure, fabric and flammability. All our fabrics are OKEO-TEX certified and free of toxic substances. The foam of our preforms is anti-bacterial and anti-mould.
